To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his oral answer of 27 October 1992 to the hon. Member for Wyre (Mr. Mans),Official Report, columns 861–62, when he will be able to announce a choice of system to meet the United Kingdom's sub-strategic requirements for nuclear capability.

I have nothing to add to the answer given by my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State to the hon. Member for Wyre (Mr. Mans) on 27 October 1992,Official Report, column 862, that we expect to reach a decision early this year.
