Mr. Bayley

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security (1) how many invalidity benefit claimants in(a) York, (b) North Yorkshire and (c) England have been called for medical examination in the past 12 months; and what proportion these figures represent of all invalidity benefit claimants;

(2) how many claimants in (a) York, (b) North Yorkshire and (c) England have had their invalidity benefit withdrawn following medical examination in each quarter for the last two years; and what proportion of these claimants subsequently had their benefit reinstated.
