§ Mr. BrookeSince my announcement on 3 December,Official Report, column 325, I am pleased to inform the House of the acceptance of two offers in lieu of tax. The offers are of chattels from Sheringham Hall, which will satisfy £119,119 tax, and a Charles I silver gilt standing cup and cover, which will satisfy £199,401 tax. The chattels will be allocated to the National Trust; no decision has yet been made on the allocation of the cup.
