Departmental officials are carrying out reviews on a weekly basis with TECs which are responsible for the delivery of YT. We receive regular reports on TEC performance in the delivery of the YT guarantee. My right hon. Friend announced the estimated numbers of young people seeking training at national level in a reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Gedling (Mr. Mitchell) on 1 December 1992,Official Report, columns 127–28. More recent figures will be published when they are available.
