To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the total amount of investment made by each local authority in repairs to Newland system homes since 1979.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the total number of Newland system properties currently owned by local authorities.

§ Mr. Baldry
From local authority returns it is estimated that as at April 1992 there were 1,200 Newland properties in the ownership of local authorities in England.
