§ Mr. Robin SquireFor 1992–93, some £2.63 million is available for payment of grant-in-aid to the Local Government Commission. Of this amount some £724,600 has been paid to the commission to date. The commission currently has 28 staff in post.
§ Mr. VazTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the names, remuneration, political affiliation and former or current occupation of each of the members of the Local Government Commission.

We have announced provision of £3.259 million, £3.300 million and £3.439 million for the years 1993–94 to 1995–96. The cost of consultations undertaken by the commission is a matter for the commission itself.
