Mr. Battle

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will set out the basis for calculating capital receipts of council house and other asset sales for the next 12 months.

Mr. Baldry

Estimates of local authorities' capital receipts are based on information which authorities themselves supply to my Department. This information is provided in relation to financial years and no estimate has been made of receipts likely to arise over the next 12 months.
