To ask the Prime Minister, pursuant to his answer of 2 June 1992 to the hon. Member for Holborn and St. Pancras (Mr. Dobson),Official Report, column 390, what is the Cabinet Office's (a) current outturn estimate for publicity expenditure for 1992–93 and (b) budgeted publicity expenditure for 1993–94.

The current estimate for press and public relations expenditure by the Cabinet Office for 1992–93 is £366,000. In addition, it is expected that expenditure on publicity and public information associated with the citizens charter in 1992–93 will he some £700,000. Budgets for 1993–94 have not yet been finalised.
