HC Deb 18 February 1993 vol 219 c332W
27. Mr. Richards

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what assessment he has made of the effect on security co-operation with the Republic of Ireland of the Anglo-Irish Agreement.

Mr. Mates

Since the signing of the Anglo-Irish Agreement, there have been significant enhancements in cross border security co-operation, and the Government will continue to work closely with the Government of the Republic to achieve further improvements. Both Governments recognise the importance of keeping existing measures under review and making further progress whenever possible.
