§ Ms. LynneTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what guidelines her Department has issued to local authorities with regard to specific provision for the care of those in the 16 to 25 years age group suffering from mental illness.
§ Mr. YeoNo guidance has been issued which specifically focuses on this age group. Services for disturbed adolescents—generally 12 to 19 years—were the subject of a report "Bridges over Troubled Waters" from the national health service health advisory service which the Department issued to health and local authorities in 1986. A copy will be placed in the Library.
