§ Mr. Turner
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the Government's policy on the European co-operative statute, passed by the European Parliament on 22 January.

§ Mr. Nelson
The Government's views on the proposed European co-operative statute were set out in the explanatory memorandum on European Community legislation submitted to Parliament on 14 May 1992. The Government are analysing responses to a consultative document issued last year and will be reporting on their implications in a further explanatory memorandum later in the year.
