To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on his plans for developing a dialogue with national non-governmental organisations and academic bodies in areas of international environment policy where his is the lead Department.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

We have regular dialogue with non-governmental organisations and academic bodies covering a range of international environmental policy issues. We also maintain close contact with nongovernmental organisations on international aspects of a range of specific environmental issues.
