Trace amounts of carcinogens can also occur in association with airborne particulates.
My Department, in close collaboration with the Department of Health, has established the expert panel on air quality standards to develop recommendations for possible new standards and guidelines for air quality in the United Kingdom. The panel is considering several air pollutants, one of which is PM10, and will report on these in due course.
