HL Deb 09 February 1993 vol 542 cc41-2WA
Baroness Nicol

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What will be the cost of the Coopers and Lybrand survey of English local authority recycling plans and how the context is expected to differ from the information presently collected by the Department of the Environment.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of the Environment (Lord Strathclyde)

It is not our policy to reveal the cost of individual contracts, for reasons of commercial confidentiality. The review will provide a picture of current and proposed local authority recycling activity as it is described in the plans. This information will be considerably more comprehensive than that currently available to the department.
