The chief executives of agencies within the responsibility of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food reply directly to questions on operational matters delegated to their agency in its framework document.554W
Separate figures for severely disadvantaged and disadvan-taged areas are not available for 1985. There is no information on farmers or workers claiming income support.

Drafts of such letters are not shown to Ministers but Ministers do, of course, have the opportunity to see letters when they are published in Hansard.
