To ask the Secretary of State for Employment (1) when is the next meeting of the Ministerial Group on Women's Issues; and what is on the agenda for that meeting;

(2) when was the last meeting of the ministerial group on women's issues; and what was discussed at that meeting.

The last meeting of the Ministerial Group on Women's Issues (MGWI) was on 5 March 1992. The Ministerial Group on Women's Issues was superseded by the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Women's Issues in April 1992. As my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister has made clear, the Government do not give details of the topics discussed by individual Cabinet committees, the timing of meetings, or their proceedings, although it will continue to make the committee's decisions known to Parliament and the public.
