Member for Newport, West (Mr. Flynn) of 18 January,Official Report, column 38, when he expects to introduce primary legislation on the chemical weapons convention; and which interested bodies he will consult on the implementation in the United Kingdom of the chemical weapons convention.
§ Mr. SainsburyLegislation to implement the United Kingdom's obligations under the chemical weapons convention will be introduced when the parliamentary timetable permits.
Consultation arrangements have not yet been finalised, but those to be consulted will include the Chemical Industries Association, the British Chemical Distributors and Traders Association, and the Confederation of British Industry.
