To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the local authorities which are currently debt free.

[pursuant to his reply, 18 January 1993, c. 116–17]: I regret that the list of authorities which became debt free as a result of the commutation of grants for debt charges which took place on 1 October 1992 contained an error. I now understand that Mid Bedfordshire district council is not in fact debt free.
