§ Mrs. Roche
To ask the Secretary of State for Education what is the cost of the new building for his Department in Great Smith street.

§ Mr. Forth
The Government rent Sanctuary Buildings from Land Securities who met the full construction costs. The final costs of fitting out the building, which is the responsibility of the Department, have not yet been settled. It is estimated that these costs, including fees and VAT, will amount to just over £11 million.
