To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland on how many days, in each year since 1987, the Palace of Holyrood House was occupied by the sovereign.

In recent years Her Majesty and other members of the royal family have made regular use of the Palace of Holyrood House. In addition the Lord High Commissioner is in residence for some 10 days each year. The palace was also a very successful venue for the European Council last December.
