As Chief Executive of the Benefits Agency, it is my responsibility to answer questions about relevant operational matters. I am therefore replying to the points raised in your recent Parliamentary Question to the Secretary of State for Social Security asking when Miss Alison Freda Leahy will hear the result of her application for Disability Living Allowance (DLA), submitted last May.According to our records Miss Leahy claimed DLA in February 1992 and a decision was made on 13 April 1992. Unfortunately the letter informing Miss Leahy of the outcome of her claim does not appear to have been sent to her and for this I offer my sincere apologies.I can confirm that Miss Leahy has now been notified of the decision.
