§ Mr. David ShawTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland, pursuant to his answer of 17 December 1992,Official Report, column 457, what information his Department had on the company named on the mortgage deed filed at Companies House, Edinburgh, when 167W approving the writing-off by the Scottish Development Agency of moneys due under the mortgage deed from KS Properties Ltd., and on the availability of assets in KS Properties Ltd. for the purposes of repaying the loan.
§ Mr. Stewart[holding answer 22 January 1993]: My answer of 17 December, Official Report, column 457 related to the writing off of the balance of a loan owed to the Scottish Development Agency by KS Construction Ltd. The Scottish Office has never been invited to approve the writing off of any debt owed to the agency by KS Properties Ltd.
§ Mr. David ShawTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland which present or past directors of KS Construction Ltd. or KS Properties Ltd. are or have been members of area boards involved with Scottish Enterprise, its predecessor body or any other publicly funded enterprise board or organisation in Scotland.
§ Mr. Stewart[holding answer 22 January 1993]: I am not aware that any person whom my right hon. Friend has appointed to any enterprise board or organisation in Scotland is or has been a director of KS Construction Ltd. or KS Properties Ltd. Membership of boards to which my right hon. Friend does not make appointments is generally a matter for the bodies concerned; and information is not held centrally.
