To ask the Secretary of State for Health what information she has regarding the links between the development of pelvic inflammatory disease and abortions on women infected with chlamydia.

We are aware of medical discussions on the nature and extent of the link between infection with chlamydia and pelvic inflammatory disease in pregnant women including those who undergo a termination of pregnancy.
