§ Mr. StrawTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment what requirements are imposed on training and enterprise councils to hold meetings in public of the main governing body, any committees and any sub-committees; and what rights of access the public have to agendas, minutes, and reports of such bodies, committees and sub-committees.
§ Miss WiddecombeTraining and enterprise councils are accountable to their local communities in a number of ways. Their contract requires that they hold a public 1037W meeting at least annually, make publicly available their corporate plan and publish an annual report and audited statement of accounts.
However, TECs are private companies and access to their meetings and to matters relating to these meetings is entirely for them to decide.
