§ Mr. DunnTo ask the Attorney-General if he will publish the criteria used by the Crown Prosecution Service when deciding whether to object to bail.
§ The Attorney-GeneralIf a Crown prosecutor decides to object to bail he will need to satisfy the court that grounds exist under the Bail Act 1976 for a remand in custody. The criteria which he will apply, in deciding whether to object to bail, therefore mirror those set out in the Act which the court will consider in hearing an application for bail.
