§ Mr. MorganTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the total expenditure by his Department on administration in 1992–93; what is the estimated outturn for expenditure by his Department on administration for 1993–94 in (i) cash terms and (ii) real terms in, 1992–93 prices; and what is his estimate for expenditure on administration by his Department for 1994–95 in(a) cash terms and (b) 1992–93 prices.
§ Mr. HowardThe final outturn for the recurrent costs of running the Department in 1992–93 is £1,421 million. The estimated outturn for 1993–94 is £1,642 million—£1,590 million at 1992–93 prices. These figures include the costs of immigration service staff and of Prison Service grades. The planned running costs expenditure for 1994–95 will be published in the Home Office annual report 1994 and in the unified Budget supplement.
