Mrs. Anne Campbell

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what assessment she has made of the effect on the freedom to roam on Forestry Commission land of decisions to be made following the report of the Forestry Review Group.

Mr. Jack

We have asked the forestry review group to ensure that, in carrying out its work, it takes full account of the need to safeguard existing public benefits such as access and recreation. When the group's report is received this aspect of its findings will be looked at very carefully indeed.

Mr. Tipping

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if she will list, for each separate piece of land currently owned or leased by the Forestry Commission in Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Gloucestershire(a) its name and (b) its area in hectares; and if she will place a map in the Library which names and identifies each of these pieces of land.

Mr. Jack
