§ Mr. Llew SmithTo ask the President of the Board of Trade what responsibilities fall on British Nuclear Fuels to cover the full costs of application of(a) Euratom safeguards, (b) International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards and (c) safeguards, pursuant to Cmnd 6730, at (i) the Magnox reprocessing line and (ii) the thermal oxide reprocessing line at Sellafield.
§ Mr. EggarIn accordance with the Euratom treaty and the statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the costs of the application of safeguards by these two bodies are met through the contributions made to their budgets by their member states.
