To ask the Secretary of State for Defence which foreign companies currently supply the armed services with ammunition and propellant.

My Department does not procure propellant separately. Overseas companies who currently supply the Ministry of Defence with ammunition are:

  • GIAT, France;
  • Hirtenberger, Austria;
  • Muiden Chemie, The Netherlands;
  • Simmel, Italy;
  • Borletti, Italy;
  • De Kruithoorn, The Netherlands;
  • Nico, Germany; and
  • La Crox, France.
