To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will make a statement on the inspector's report naming Dick Sheppard school and Lilian Baylis school as schools as giving cause for concern and serious concern.

Both schools will be inspected in the current academic year under the new inspection arrangements introduced following the Education (Schools) Act 1992. Lilian Baylis school will be inspected in the spring term and Dick Sheppard school in the summer term.
