To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list the Ministers in his Department who since June 1987 have visited(a) Saudi Arabia, (b) Malaysia, (c) Singapore and (d) South Africa on official business; and which such visits included party political activities in addition to official duties.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs met members of Conservatives Abroad in the course of his visit to South Africa in July 1991. My right hon. and noble Friend Baroness Chalker of Wallasey attended a Conservatives Abroad reception in South Africa in February 1991. There is no record of any other party political activities by FCO Ministers during the course of official visits to the countries concerned since June 1987.
