To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many advocates there are in practice at the present moment; and how many are women.

  3. 3. Staff described as "administrative" include many groups of staff whose nature of work may not be strictly administrative eg computer programmers, system analysts, accountants and information specialists.
  4. 4. Calculations of percentages are based on total staff which include medical and dental staff at 30 September and all other staff at 31 March of each year.
