§ Miss WiddecombeI refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for Darlington (Mr. Milburn) on 6 November 1992,Official Report, column 434. This provides details of the total budget allocated to each training and enterprise council—TEC—including Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland, Teesside, Tyneside and Wearside.
The total amount spent on TECs in England during 1992–93 was £1.291 billion.
Expenditure relating to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland is the responsibility of the respective Secretaries of State.
