§ Mr. HanleyThe Ibn Al Haytham missile research and development centre was established by the Iraqis in March794W 1992 and is located 15 km north-east of Baghdad. Its primary purpose is to conduct research and development on missiles with ranges of up to 150 km. This work is permitted under UN SCR 687 (1991). The establishment has been visited by six UNSCOM inspections.
