To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the annual cost to the Department of the car service for Ministers; and how many vehicles are involved.

The cost to the Scottish Office of the car service for Ministers in 1992–93 was £224,163. The number of vehicles involved is three in London and four—part-time—in Scotland.
