HC Deb 03 December 1993 vol 233 c799W
Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will make a statement setting out the current conditions of service and remuneration of(a) executive and (b) non-executive directors of Doncaster health authority.

Dr. Mawhinney

The current conditions of service for executive members of Doncaster health authority are those of all other national health service general and senior managers. The chief executive is paid within the range set for district general manager grade 2—£45,710 to £66,030. Executive members of health authorities are paid on the senior manager pay spine, which ranges from £14,940 to £46,600 per year.

Non-executive members of health authorities hold a statutory office under the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990, and their appointment and tenure of office is governed by the National Health Service Regional and District Health Authorities (Membership and Procedure) Regulations 1990. Non-executive members of health authorities receive an annual remuneration of £5,000.
