To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many files marked "not for National Audit Office eyes" are held by his Department.

§ Mr. Gummer
The only category of files not available for NAO view are those which relate to relations between the Department and the NAO and the Public Accounts Committee. This is fully in accordance with the standing agreement between the Treasury and the NAO. This applies to 214 files out of 1.4 million.
