§ Mr. Robin SquireOver the last 12 months my right hon. Friend approved 636 requests from local education authorities for changes in school standard numbers. In 171 of these cases the order implementing the change modified the original proposals. Over the same period my right hon. Friend declined to approve a change on 76 occasions.
