To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment to what extent he is taking into account local opinion in determining the future of local government in Suffolk.

Mr. Curry

The Local Government Commission will begin its review of local government in Suffolk on 13 December. The commission must take into consideration all relevant representations made to it. We shall take local views fully into account when considering the commission's recommendations.
