To ask the secretary of State for the Environment what are the current council tax levels in Newbury for each band; and what these levels would be if there was no budgeted recourse to the council's resources.

Assuming that the council had made no use of its resources and had chosen to set the budget requirement at the level of budgeted net revenue expenditure, the council taxes for each band would have been as follows in each case:
