§ Mr. Brooke[holding answer 27 April 1993]: The 1990 general household survey found that 6 per cent. of those 511W surveyed in Great Britain, aged 16 or over, participated in angling in the 12 months before interview. This suggests that there are about 2,670,000 anglers.
