§ Mr. BoswellPublic funds for universities in England are administered by the Higher Education Funding Council for England. Section 65(2) of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 defines the activities eligible for funding. This definition does not exclude the funding of child care facilities.
Universities are autonomous bodies and it is for them to decide their own priorities, including any provision or support of child care facilities for staff and students, from within the resources available to them.
