§ Mr. Clifton-BrownTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will simplify the annual June returns in view of the amount of information provided by farmers on the IACS form.
§ Mr. CurryAs my right hon. Friend the Minister made clear in the letter that accompanied the IACS documentation, we are reviewing the forms that farmers are required to complete, including those required for the agricultural census, to see whether they can be made shorter and easier for farmers in future years.
§ Mr. ColvinTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) when he expects the European Commission to complete its report on the application of the integrated administration and control system in the various member states of the European Community;
(2) if he will place in the Library a copy of the European Commission's report on the application of the integrated administration and control system in the various member states of the European Community, as soon as it is available.
§ Mr. CurryThe European Commission is undertaking a series of visits to examine how the integrated administration and control system is being applied in each EC member state. The visits will not be completed until about the end of July. I intend to press the Commission to provide a report of its findings.
