§ Mr. MacleanMy Department has participated fully in the preparatory process for the "Environment for Europe" conference in Luzern from 28 to 30 April. We have also 85W helped with a number of analytical studies for the environmental action programme for central and eastern Europe. I shall attend the conference on 28 and 29 April. My right hon. and learned Friend will attend from 29 to 30 April.
The main items on the agenda for discussion are the environmental action programme for central and eastern Europe; innovative instruments of environmental policy; and monitoring, compliance and enforcement in environmental policy.
