What representations they have received from the Brewers' Society regarding the Weights and Measures Act 1985, and what were the dates, format and substance of any such representations.

The Brewers' Society wrote to the Department of Trade and Industry about Section 43 of the Weights and Measures Act 1985 on 9th January, 17th and 25th February 1992 and 4th and 8th March 1993. Meetings between representatives of the society and the department took place on 11th and 20th February 1992 and 25th March 1993. I shall be meeting the Brewers' Society in due course. The society has consistently opposed the implementation of Section 43.
