To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what research has been conducted in hospitals in the Province on myalgic encephalomyelitis.

Over the last five years research has been carried out at the Royal Victoria hospital, Belfast, into the physical causes of myalgic encephalomyelitis and the possibility of devising an objective diagnostic test for the condition.
