To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what progress his Department has made in meeting its targets for settling hill livestock compensatory allowance claims in Wales; and if he will make a statement.

The target was to pay, by the end of March, 80 per cent. of claims received. I am pleased to report that 86 per cent. of claims received had been met.
