§ Mr. McLoughlinIn the year to the end of June 1992, the turnover of TEC directors—excluding chairmen—was 19 per cent. Although information on the reasons for these moves is not held centrally, the common reasons are moves around the country, retirement or changes of job.
§ Mr. Austin-WalkerTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment what assessment she has made of the adequacy of the present level of funding for TECs to meet current demand for training programmes for young people; and what estimate she has made of the effect of any budget cuts.

Friend the Secretary of State announced to the House on 7 July,Official Report, 588W columns 171–72, new measures to establish a national system for monitoring the numbers of young people seeking training. There is currently no shortage of funds for TECs to meet the demand for youth training.
