Mr. William Ross

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he now expects the standards of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to be applied in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Atkins

The Government intend to introduce in Northern Ireland provisions similar to those of the Act in due course.
