§ Mr. FormanTeachers in secondary schools and sixth form colleges can be paid an incentive allowance, at the discretion of the governing body, for taking on extra responsibilities. In further education colleges lecturers are paid on one of two scales or on a management spine. In neither case are there separate scales or allowances for teaching A-levels. On 1 April 1993, further education corporations, including the former sixth form colleges, will have responsibility for determining the pay and conditions of their staff.
